John 15:7

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

Lord, we pray for the people who are suffering from the corona virus.

Have mercy on them and heal them. Bring them to you and let them know you in the middle of this predicament.

Amen.

We all heard about the situation in Wuhan, China, and how it is affecting the world.

We are not far away from the harm, since there are already several people who got that novel Corona virus

in the United States. It is not something that has nothing to do with us. It already affects us emotionally.

How are we supposed to react or respond to this grave situation as Christians?

First of all, we must ache with those who are aching, just as Jesus would.

Jesus always ached with the ones who are suffering. He ultimately died for us, who were suffering from

our own sins. We must pray for those who are suffering right now.

Second, we must turn to God. We often turn to our phones to find more information

to find some solutions to our disturbed heart.

God will give us peace, not our phones.

God gave us the ability to think in conceptual terms. We can think of the things that are invisible and eternal,

ultimately of God.

Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 3:11.

"God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet

they cannot fathom the work that God has done from beginning to end."

God put into our hearts the desire for God and the ability to think of God.

When we open our hearts and think of God and seek God's face,

God reveals Himself to us.

And God's revelation is so much comforting than anything we can find on the internet.

When our hearts are burdened with the worries, let us turn to God.

Think of God's unconditional love for you.

It will give you everlasting peace that the world cannot give.

Amen.
