"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses,
in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties" (2 Cor 12:10).
Paul says that he delights in weaknesses, insults, hardships, and persecutions.
Life can be tough on us. Bad things happen. Can you still remain positive?
Can you continue to go on delighting? Rejoicing?
Because Paul also says, "Rejoice always!"
How can we rejoice always when our beloved ones
die of Covid 19 or sudden accidents?
How can we rejoice always when we go through financial difficulties
or diseases that do not seem to go away anytime soon?
How can we rejoice when people hate on us because we look different from them?
How can we rejoice when a police shoots at us because we look certain color?
How can we rejoice when injustice abounds in the world?
We CAN. For Christ's sake.
We CAN. Because Christ commands us to love our enemies and there are
so many enemies to love.
We CAN. Because we love Christ so much that the more we suffer for him,
the more of our love can be proven to him.
We CAN. Because the more we suffer for him, the more abounding the comfort
from him is.
We no longer live to please ourselves.
We live to please the LORD.
We strive to please the LORD.
We ask the LORD about how we can please him better.
LORD, let us know how we can please you better.
The LORD says, "LOVE ONE ANOTHER IN MY NAME WITH MY LOVE."
